Hi all,
oh I did do a search first in the group for any
mention of the rt6856 chipset and found nothing,
so no flaming thanks.

Just wondering. Does anyone have any idea if the
RT6856 is going to be supported? Found a rather nice
piece of kit at a ridiculous price so I want to
go beserk and get 10 or so if I know dd-wrt is going
to appear sometime soon.

Oh, never developed for router mcu so my grasp of the
tech is limited. If say a version of dd-wrt was
made for a earlier mcu from the same family as the
RT6856, could it simply be installed until RT6856
specific code is developed? ie, showing my age, how
code for a x286 would happily run on a x486.

Does anyone even know if the RT6856 is a whole new
family of devices or it does have ancestor mcu's?

Andrew
