My current housing situation places me far away from the primary router, and in order to get access I had configured a WNR2000v2 as a repeater. This worked well enough for general browsing but the signal quality was often around 30%, leading to frequent ping spikes.

I had on hand a WNR2000v3 that I decided to daisy chain to the WNR2000v2 as a client bridge, allowing me to move the WNR2000v2 closer to the primary router for a better signal. This worked wonderfully, my connection to the primary is now a bit over 50%. However, the connection frequently seems to dip out and just drop entirely. I notice that when this happens the V2 doesn't seem to change, but the V3, the client bridge, dips greatly in 'rate'. Is there anything I can do to improve the stability of this connection? Despite the signal improvement the entire purpose of this setup was really just to improve stability, namely with ping, but dropping connection entirely just leaves me worse off.

Thanks!
