Don't use the 3.3v. Notice I never mentioned to use that nor do the links.

Sorry, maybe I misunderstand. I need supply to use serial communication, right ? Why do you say don't use 3.3V ?

Just use RX,TX ? What about GND ?

Hello ! I opened my router, solder small pins to connect my homemade USB.
My router is correctly detected when I connect GND + TX + RX, but I get and error 43 in my peripheral handler.
It means that Windows kill my peripheral itself, I supposed inverted TX and RX but I work not even change it.. Sad

An idea ? I don't know what is the number of the COM port, to configure PuTTY

This is all explained in the serial wiki. You need to read carefully, and get it translated if you need to.

Disconnect your router. Connect the tx and rx together. Type something. It should show up on your screen. If it doesn't your USB is not working properly and needs to be fixed. I strongly suggest you get a proper setup before you fry your router....which you might have already done. IT HAS TO BE A LEVEL SHIFTING ADAPTER!
