Is anyone using rev b2? I ended up with it and would like to know if r17201 is still the only safe version for B2 or if the wiki is just outdated.

I'm using rev b2 and r23919 and all is working fine. In my opinion, it's safe to use.

Hi,

I've browsed the forum and this post a little bit and found no answer to my problem, although someone posted a similar question a few pages earlier.

I have upgraded my DIR-825 B1 to DD-WRT, and cannot get my iMac to connect in 802.11n.

On the 2.4 GHz interface, it will connect in 802.11g (54 Mbps) and on the 5 GHz, it will connect in 802.11a (54 Mbps as well).

I have tried forcing the channel width to 40 MHz, different channels at both ends, enabling/disabling QoS...

If I use N-only the mac simply won't find the network.

No problem with D-link's firmware.

Any suggestion on how to solve this?

Note: I have tried with both the official DD-WRT firmware and r23919.

OK... answering myself

WPA's default algorithm in DD-WRT is TKIP and not AES. 802.11n does not support TKIP encryption.

revert to Auto and still nothing
reboot and CH36 reappears.

dont use N-Only its still buggy, use Mixed or NG-Mixed, also channel selection is buggy with ht40 on builds >r23919 which is semi-fixed in later builds(2.4ghz only), just try every channel till you find a working one

thanks for the response

I was still getting 5ghz drops. I've reverted all the way back to r23598. This one seems to be stable.

Hi!

Need little help. I have a DIR-825 B1. It had 2.05EU fw, and I wanted to change it to DD-WRT. I did it as DD-WRT wiki says, but it was not successful. I have win7 ultimate 64. I tried to flash with explorer, but nothing happened, and firefox as the same. With Chrome I saw the upload 100%, after 100% the power led remained blinking status, and nothing happened. I have changed fw to stock WW, but the result is the same. What should i do now?

Thanks rl-p!
I removed IE11 and did it with IE10 (IE7 compatibility mode).

From what I read the b2 has always had issues with DD-WRT, but I am still happily using my B1.

Hi, i upgraded to 25279 on my dir-825-revb2 a week ago. So far i don't see any problems, didn't have to reset or restart the device yet.
But i am only using 2.4 GHz Wifi (144 MBit mode) and LAN, no other 'special' settings.

Recent versions still have a lot of problems. I'd suggest r23598, that's the last version for me that doesn't drop wifi and where the turbo mode works well.
