Then log into your Belkin router (192.168.2.1) and go to the menu option for installing firmware file manually.
After the Padavan firmware has been successfully installed, the router's new IP address will become 192.168.1.1.
Be warned if you later decide to return to Belkin stock firmware, you may encounter some minor issues such as with default SSID and password not matching the label on the bottom of the router.

I guess I can try to help you, I have 2 N750 and I use a 5GHz link to bridge the 2, extending my 2.4GHz wireless range.
I have had some problem during initial setup, but it has been working nicely for months now (hence why I did not come back in a while).
In my case, I run the following config:
Main router:
- FW 78.55.53.48-078
- DHCP ON
- both radios as AP only
- IP: 192.168.10.1
Extender
- 78.55.53.48-073 (it works, I'm too lazy to upgrade)
- DHCP OFF
- 2.4GHz: AP only
- 5GHz: AP-Client only to first
- IP: 192.168.10.3
My setup mostly works. One problem is that my DLNA/upnp servers cannot go across the wireless link. Not a big problem.
I have some trouble witch update my Belkin N750 DB from version BN750DB_3.0.3.8-082 to BN750DB_3.0.3.8-084
After update router looks like dead no DHCP can’t access to IP 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1
but I have found solution to fix it
setup computer IP address too
10.10.10.3
Hard reset router 30/30/30
Connect by web browser to IP 10.10.10.123 and from this recovery site install Belink firmware
Then I have back to BN750DB_3.0.3.8-082
NOTE:
After uprgade to 3.X.3.8-085 from any previous builds, please:
- Clear browser cache to properly render WebUI pages.
- Sync OpenVPN client and server settings with new controls.
- Update region timezone (for Russia only).
- Remember that the manual NVRAM reset is not required.
After manual NVRAM reset:
- Both Wireless AP security is WPA2-Personal with pre-shared key 1234567890 by default.
- HTTP and Telnet/SSH login:passw is admin:admin by default
Padavan figured out reason why 3.4.x has perfomance degradation compared to 3.0.x on mips platform and resolved this issue.
Now Padavan's 3.4.x kernel is the fastest for mips!
can anyone confirm the correct link to download the latest firmwares? the one I had pinned only has printer.exe...
