I have trouble establishing a PPTP VPN connection with Kong 25015 firmware.
I have R7000 in one location and RT-AC68U in another location. Both are set up as a PPTP VPN server.
With Kong 24760 and older, I was able to establish a connection from R7000 to RT-AC68U and vice versa.

I have kept updating the firmware with each of Kong release, but I have not tried VPN function for a while so I do not know from which version I have lost the ability to establish a PPTP VPN connection. But I have not changed any setup and I can confirm that PPTP VPN does not work with this 25015 firmware for these two routers.

There appears to be a bug in newer firmwares. Try disabling PPTP passthrough in Security / VPN Passthtough

hi Kong. Thanks for the fix.
I'm really willing to test the build with my VPN connection.

Any idea when it will be ready for download?

Kong committed the change to the svn and it is found in Brainslayer's latest releases. Kong has said he will no longer be putting out his own builds, so unless he changes his mind, you will be waiting a long time.

Oh... thank for the reply.

May you assist me with the following then?
In light of this new information:
1. Where do I download the latest build by Brainslayer?
2. Does his builds support the built in bitorrent client?

James, thanks for the help, mate!

One last thing... coming from latest Kong build, can I simply flash Braislayer's build?

That's what I did but YMMV. It's always best to start fresh. If you have problems, reset and re-config manually. .

Cool!

So I'm downloading now and I also found this:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads?path=others%2Feko%2FBrainSlayer-V24-preSP2%2F2012%2F03-19-12-r18777%2Fnetgear-wndr3800%2F

I was in the hunt for release notes but I couldn't find any, so how can we know what was fixed / added / changed?
