I have a wrt54g (version 6) router and a befw11S4 router.
Currently I have the wrt as my main router and the befw is just collecting dust. Is there a way to use these two to create a wds or some type of repeater system?
My intention is to have something like this:
~ means wireless
-- means wired
modem -- router 1 ~ router 2 ~ laptop
obviously router 1 is hooked up via lan to my main computer.
Hope this makes sense and I would appreciate any help. I currently have 1.02.0 linksys firmware on the wrt.

please check your befw had feature support wds or not, if it support the wds, go flash your wrt with the dd-wrt firmware then try to connecting both of them with wds mode.
modem -- befw ~~ wds ~~ wrt54g v6 ~~ laptop / etc
if your befw not supported with wds, maybe you can try with v24 version and set with repeater mode. But G v5 and v6 just support with micro version, so i think that can't flash with v24 version because v6 had a low memory than GL or GS type. _________________ 365'pc WRT54GL 1.1 + DD-WRT wds - client mode - client bridge

Your BEFW11S4 is an old Wireless B router without WDS-support.
Just sell it or make someone happy by giving it away _________________ Asus RT16N + OTRW
