Alright after reading up on it, I've actually disabled the wireless router functionality of my modem, and my Asus router now has a WAN IP of 67.8.247.167. I used this to do it.

firewall off on the tplink? when connected to the tplink open a cmd prompt & type "ping -t 192.168.1.1" & leave it pinging the asus router, when issue happens stop the pinging & see if there is latency spikes or timeouts _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Hey sorry for the silence, after so much failure I wanted to just take a short break from all of this hah.
I've already tried setting the router to other channels, and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference really. That only leaves installing DD-WRT on the Asus. Would this actually cause or create a difference?
