The NetGear WNR2200v1 is still using an older, obsolete version of the Linux kernel, 3.5.7.33.

Is this an oversight and is it possible without too much effort being needed for this to get a bump to 3.10.x?

Thanks!

Indeed, but at least 3.10 is still being maintained as a long term support release.

I've actually been exercising the ath9k driver in 3.18-rc6 heavily today with an AR9390 card in a variety of situations, it's been really stable.

Far more so than 3.10.x with the OpenWrt patches holds up under the same tests.
