hi, i just downloaded the firmware 087, flashed it but i can't find my router to connect to it, the blue LED is on, i can't see the wifi SSID and when connecting through LAN it says, unindentified network, please help

The router address is now 192.168.1.1 so you'll have to adjust for that. The default SSID is probably ASUS and ASUS_5G.

Advanced Settings -> LAN -> DHCP Server
You can edit "Custom Configuration File "dnsmasq.conf"" there. I don't have chromcast.

Radmir..

I am on 78.55.53.48-081 and am quite satisfied with it.

Is it a significant upgrade to .88 version?

What is the latest best stable version right now?

none of the builds have QoS installed?

i was wanting to prioritize VoIP WiFi Calling from my phone.
i use google voice and groove ip quite a bit from my cell phones inside this home.

i was looking at tmobile's wifi calling feature and they also sell an updated asus router that supposibly has these settings pre-configured to make handing off from wifi calling to cell towers seemless.
from what i read they have special settings but to my understanding it has to have QoS enabled.

any way to do this with this modded firmware?

Has anyone successfully got DLNA media server working?

I am using BN750DB_3.4.3.8-088_dlna.trx

The DLNA client (Sony smart TV) sees the media server but cannot find any content.

I am using a 32GB FAT32 flash drive and the Belkin doesn't seem to detect/scan the contents. The Mini-DLNA status page shows Nil files detected.

When I reinstated the Belkin stock 1.10.17 UK firmware, the built in Twonky media server works fine.

(I also managed to semi-brick the F9k1103 when I disabled both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi when the Belkin stock firmware is in use. I could ping the router but could not load the GUI. Holding the reset button down for more than 15 secs did not clear the fault. Eventually, I had to connect a serial cable to the router and TFTP Padavan ***084_base.trx to it, using the method I documented for Samsung CY-SWR1100 router elsewhere in this forum. It is now running stock Belkin firmware again)

Thanks for the Emergency Boot tip.

---------

With regards to DLNA, I had another attempt using Build 088 on a CY-SWR1100 (instead of F9k1103) and got it working.

http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showpost.php?p=82853&postcount=570

I used a HP flash drive with volume name HP32 and put all the videos into a folder called Video.

Then edited the line to read:
Media Files Source Path: V,/media/HP32/Video

Unfortunately, on the CY-SWR1100, the USB drive frequently dismounts and remounts with a new device name. ie. sda becomes sdb.

When I check the contents of the flash drive, a folder called .dms is created but it is corrupt and cannot be opened or deleted from Windows.

Hey there everybody. I signed up to this forum just to say a massive

to radmir for making this happen, and Padavan for his skills.

It was worth reading through 38 pages to turn my router into a beast!

By the way, maybe the op could update the original post with the following info for people not willing to read through 38 pages Very Happy

Quote:
Although we don't have DDWRT for this router, we do have a firmware which has been transplanted from the ASUS N56U which has identical hardware.

Please first load this file using the stock Belkin web based firmware update page.

https://app.box.com/shared/2wxyv4cjdgd52m4a1wzd/4/322627961/11989207166/1

I believe this was an early version without hardware checking, hence it will upload to the device using the Belkin interface.

After your router reboots, login to 192.168.1.1 with USER: admin PASS: admin

If you see the ASUS logo, all has gone well.

Next go ahead and flash the latest BN750DB firmware from here:
https://app.box.com/s/2wxyv4cjdgd52m4a1wzd/1/322627961

There are a few versions for you to choose from:

Quote:
Base build,
excluded:
- minidlna (UPnP/DLNA A/V mediaserver).
- transmission (torrent client).
- aria2 (multi-protocol download manager).
- firefly (iTunes audio mediaserver).
- QoS kernel modules.
- IFB/IMQ kernel modules.
- USB HID kernel modules.
- CIFS client kernel module.

- DLNA build,
included:
- minidlna (UPnP/DLNA A/V mediaserver).
- transmission (torrent client).
excluded:
- aria2 (multi-protocol download manager).
- firefly (iTunes audio mediaserver).
- QoS kernel modules.
- IFB/IMQ kernel modules.
- USB HID kernel modules.
- CIFS client kernel module.
- openssl executable (for generate HTTPS and OpenVPN certs).
- tcpdump utility.

- Aria2 build,
included:
- aria2 (multi-protocol download manager).
excluded:
- minidlna (UPnP/DLNA A/V mediaserver).
- transmission (torrent client).
- firefly (iTunes audio mediaserver).
- QoS kernel modules.
- IFB/IMQ kernel modules.
- USB HID kernel modules.
- CIFS client kernel module.
- tcpdump utility.

Once you are up and running with your latest firmware, don't forget to reboot your modem (especially if you're using PPPoE) as the router MAC address will have changed.

Now enjoy a kickass new router Smile

If i understood correctly - using scripts to add QOS wont yield any results since there are no QOS kernel modules in any of the padavan builds for n750?

EDIT:
My lazy ass found older build with QOS kernel module.

Would you mind uploading one of the newer builds with QOS radimir?

I need to somehow limit devices in my flat from hogging the connection when upload selfie spree starts each evening. And sadly breaking phones is not a way to go...
