i've been testing the same build (see signature) of 2.6 and 3.0 this weekend, and i see that the 2.6 build has about a 15% better performance regarding wan/lan throughput on my e3000. Any one else having the same experience?

is this expected with the new kernel build?

The new K3.X firmware releases have only 2 options, mega (7.5MB) and big (21.2MB).

What is the difference?

Some devices, including e4200, have 16MB of flash.
Can you please create a new release for those devices?
So it can include some of the features of the big release.

Hi

I have a buffalo 1166dhp. If I flash the BS 23503 build (from serial terminal rescue console) it restores to the default settings and I can configure it. If I flash any later version including the 23509, it does not read the configured settings from 23503 nor resets to default. It reads some old configuration that I don't know the password to; as if in the later builds (tried 4 different builds) the configuration is stored in some different place that is not cleared when clearing nvram (from serial term).

On this router the reset button does not work so no way to do 30/30/30 reset.

Any tips on how to debug this issue?
Is there a way to reset the configuration on the 23509 from the rescue console?
Is there a trick to restore the buffalo factory firmware, something similar to the Buffalo 300NG trick?

Apologies if this is not the correct place, I thought the configuration issue should be reported in this thread.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

Quick question. Does it support the Netgear R6250? I tried to flash the NV64 onto my R6250, but failed.

Many thanks!

Hi All,

I jumped from BS svn24160-K3 mega on my E3000 to BS svn25697-K3 mega.

Everything seems to work except for when I start using static DHCP leases, after than no machine on the network can acquire a DHCP lease or do DNS lookups, manually defining a static address on a machine & settings its DNS server to google (8.8.8.Cool seems to get around it.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

Many thanks! I already tried this.

I am a little bit confused about the difference between the following:

- /01-04-2015-r25760/netgear-r6250/

- /2015/01-04-2015-r25760/broadcom_K26/

- /2015/01-04-2015-r25760/broadcom_K3X/

The reason I want to try broadcom_K3X on my R6250 is the flash size is small compared to /01-04-2015-r25760/netgear-r6250/

Also, does Fractal builds support my R6250? And where can I find the latest Fractal builds?

Many thanks!

Hi there, I've been testing the DD-WRT firmware for more than a week on ASUS RT-AC68U with builds:
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (22/12/14) std - build 25697
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/01/15) std - build 25760
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (13/01/15) std - build 25887

--> ALL BUILDs HAVE SAME BUGs!!

I'd like to share with you bugs I've found (I have not access to the bug tracker, I don't know why), I hope that developers can resolve the problems I've found.

1) ADMINISTRATION
BOOT WAIT:
CFE at boot wait doesn't want to uninstall if I revert back to stock. I've tried to flash from the GUI and from Asus's FIRMWARE RESTORATION UTILITY but in every case the boot wait doesn't want to disable (anyone knows where it's stored?)
If I disable boot wait option and save and/or apply and then reboot, the option is enabled again

2) WIRELESS
b/g mode not working: I've a computer with an old wireless card (intel pro wireless 2200bg that is only b/g). With stock fw works but with dd-wrt the pc wouldn't connect. (I've tried all modes in all possible channels, with all possible protections: b, g, b&g, g&n, n, mixed / CH 1-11 / 20, 40 MHZ / wpa, wpa2, wpa2 mixed)

3) LEDs
5g & USB leds have problems (with stock and merlin fw they work)
-WiF LEDs:
2.4g blinks correctly: it's on and blinks on data rate >0
5g blinks wrongly: it's off and blinks on data rate >0
-USB LEDs:
When usb support is activated usb3 led turns ON, even if no usb device is connected.
When usb2 hdd is connected (in usb2 port), the usb2 led doesn't turn on.

4) BUTTONS
-reset button:
works only for erase nvram (long press >5 sec)
Short press doesn't work (the router doesn't reboot)
-Wps button: It doesn't work because wps it's not implemented yet (or I can't find the options?)
-led on/off button: doesn't work at all

5) STATUS
-WAN: not showing ipv6 address
-WIRELESS: client's interface wrong? Showing eth1 or eth2 instead of wl0 or wl1

6) IPV6
Ipv6 address from ISP it's ok but DHCP server not working yet, computers and android nexus5 not receiving a ipv6

7) ACCESS RESTRICTIONS
Mode "deny" works
Mode "filter" doesn't work: e.g. URL blocked facebook.com www.facebook.com http://facebook.com

I'm available for any information or test

I'm just wondering. Should I remove this build from my WNDR4500v1? Yes it bricked my router but after much hair pulling. I simply reverted to the netgear stock firmware, reinstalled 25887 and restored my settings from the nvram.bin file.

Any chance I could request usbmuxd or the whole libimobiledevice library be updated in a future build? I'm having an issue through /many/ builds and /many/ reflash on my AC66U. Tried multiple different iPhones. Other people with similar issues (on Linux) resolved by upgrading usbmuxd.

Thanks.

Is there a safe way to go from dd-wrt.v24-26446_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega to dd-wrt.v24-26446_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega_wrt610nv2.bin on a Linksys WRT610N v2?
