I bought a new TL-WR1043ND router, i dont have a existing modem to connect my DSL line to the router WAN port, without a existing modem is not possible to connect the router for internet access, i mean is it not possible to connect with the direct DSL cable from ISP ?, if i connect like that, then the setup wizard says my WAN port is disconnected please check the connection.

Also i have a another question, i do have fixed line at my home, how do i connect my fixed line to the router and use it.

I have o2 connection at home, and i use the o2 supplied router everything works fine, i want to change to TL-WR1043ND router because of speed and good connectivity. Please do help me here in connecting the router.

You should connect RJ-45 port of your modem with WAN (Internet) port of new router and to define your dial-up properties like user name & password in the router. Your ADSL (phone) cable cannot be connected directly to the router and not must to be.
