Karyo,
how did you run the command, from the gui based command tab or did you telnet to the router & run it?

On my R7000 & running Kong 26285M I run the command from the command line & I can see all 5ghz clients disappear from the list. When I run the switch version to enable, I see the 5ghz client come back.

You will NOT see a status change in the gui saying the radio down.

wl -i eth2 down
wl -i eth2 up

You mentioned your on a different router but you did not mention what firmware you are running. It might make a difference.

@Slidermike,

I run it from Administration tab > Command.
My firmware version is dd-wrt.v24-21676_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-WNDR3400

telnet or SSH... If restricted to windows client check out putty (all you need is the executable, unless you plan to use the keygen bit).
