Hi,
I have TP-Link TL-WR703N with preinstalled english lanugage (TL-MR3020 English Firmware) can I install DD-WRT firmware on it ?

Hi,
my router is in the supported list but nothing mentioned about the english version so I want to know if it is supported

English as in England, Canada, South Africa, or USA?

Does matter what language is on it if the MODEL is supported.

I know that but in the supported devices page , the FCC ID was (- china version) thats why I wondered...

Good point. The fcc numbers should match, but the people using that router are not all from china!

yeah, so you mean all the TL-WR703N supported inspite of the version of the router ?

No. I am saying that the language that is installed is usually independent of the actual version of the router. To be supported, it must be the same model and version number. However, that should mean that the FCC number will be the same.

WR703N is for Chinese domestic market, the international version is MR3020.
If you have loaded MR3020 software onto it then it is a MR3020 now and it will only accept MR3020 firmwares when updating.

yes i have MR3020 firmware on it , if i make hardreset can i install th Dd-wrt firmware on it?

Even with hard reset i cant install dd-wrt for 703N ? Or i can after hardrest install 703n dd-wrt firmware

I mean using the builds for 703N not the MR3020, hardreset then the builds for 703N not MR3020 can I do that ?
