Just an FYI....

I just reset my router and set it up in Repeater mode instead of Repeater Bridge mode...Repeater mode works very well. No intermittent connections, but I still need to set the network channel manually.

I know you have extensive experience in setting up Repeaters, but still, I'd like to ask you if you are setting up the Repeater Bridge as follows ? (this bug is really about specific details after all, I'm sorry if I sound too didactic, I don't mean to)

1. Administration -> Factory Defaults: Restore. Apply Settings. Wait 1-2 minutes for changes to take effect.

2. Wireless -> Basic Settings -> 2.4G Phys ra0: AP, NG-Mixed, HT40, HostAP SSID. Save. Save. (here Channel automatically resets itself to Auto)
Manually set the same channel as the HostAP broadcasts on. Save.
Set Repeater Bridge instead of AP. Save.
(the double Saves are not typos. As you have already noticed for sure, certain fields will change/appear/disappear after each Save. This strange behavior happens only on Ralink, but not on Atheros).

3. Wireless -> Wireless Security: WPA2 Personal, AES, Password (make sure ra0 password = password asked by Host AP). Save.

4. Wireless -> Advanced Settings -> CTS Protection Mode: Disable. Save.

5. Setup -> Basic Setup -> WAN Connection: Disabled
-> Router IP: 192.168.1.2, Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0, Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (Router IP must be on the same subnet as Host AP, but outside its DHCP Pool. I assumed Host AP is 192.168.1.1)

6. Setup -> Advanced Routing -> Operating Mode: Router (Gateway mode performs NAT). Save.

7. Security -> Firewall -> Disable all filters except Filter Multicast. Save.
-> SPI Firewall: Disable. Save.

8. Administration -> Management -> Apply Settings. Wait 1-2 minutes for changes to take effect. Reboot Router.
