Router Model: WHR-300HP2 (Repeater Bridge)
Status: Won't work in RB mode.
Reset: Yes (Web GUI and CLI)
Errors: Bridge mode won't work. The physical side seems to be broadcasting because other units in my network connect to it...instead of the actual host AP that this unit should be connecting to...very very strange.

It does broadcast the virtual SSID...but no connection to it can be made.

If I revert back to whr300hp2d-v24sp2-22750b firmware...Repeater Bridge works fine. Also tested was my last known good build for other chipsets (26138)....same issues.

Does it work in regular Repeater mode on 26446 ? Try setting it up as Repeater and add an extra VAP, in order to be able to connect with the clients specifically to this extra VAP (otherwise they might connect to the Host AP and not to the repeated SSID on the Repeater).

OK...here's an update. I got 26138 working by setting the mode to AP...put in my physical SSID...MANUALLY set the channel for my network...then click Apply...this sets the channel. If you let it try to automatically find the Host AP channel it won't and will remain at channel 6 (default) (I use channel 11)

Now configure the Repeater Bridge normally.

As for 26446....I can not connect to the VAP for the RB so it won't work correctly. This VAP issue has been seen since 263XX builds and has not been resolved.

As an AP...this build works fine...but anything that requires a Virtual interface...its broken.

This bug is practically identical to what I see on my DIR-615 D2 (I've thought this only happens on DIR-615, not on all Ralinks), here's the concerned thread:

Again and again my suggestion:
Let the channel selection on the screen also in repeater bridge mode, don't make it disappear; or make the device select the channel of the router automatically also in repeater bridge mode. Whatever takes less efford to programm (I think first!).
