Hello.
I've been using TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND V1 running the latest builds for a few years (the ones recommended as good by forum users). I haven't experienced any major issues (maybe occasional Wi-Fi drops and freezes here or there), but reboot solved everything everytime. Recently I've read that WR1043ND V1 has a pre-n chipset which is very old and buggy, and is only good to be stepped on and thrown away.
Few days ago I've managed to get D-Link DIR-825 B2 for cheap. Is it a good idea to replace WR1043ND with DIR-825? Which hardware is better, or more suitable to run DD-WRT without problems? I know that it depends on many aspects, but it would be great if you could give me a few pros and cons or major standpoints for every router to help me decide.
DIR-825 B2 has similar hardware to WNDR3700v1. Both are good. Just use a recent DD-WRT build. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

I got the DIR-825 for about 10 EUR. I didn't know what revision it is when I bought it, I took the chance. Of course I hoped for C1, but on the other hand I got lucky that it's not the A1. Basically I'm trying to get the most of what I already have. I don't have PS4, so I'm all set.
