I have installed version 25697 on my TP-Link TL-WR841N version 9.2 router. Now I don't see "open VPN" option on configuration page. Only option visible is "PPTP" and VPN provider(IPVanish) doesn't support it. Any suggestions?

New here, apologize if dumb question. Why doesn't this show up in router database yet? Is it safe/stable enough to deploy or should I wait until it's officially in the router database?

Many Thanks.

Router database is outdated. Use this forum or:
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2015/

Is client bridge mode working or not? Some of the earlier posts indicate that it is but other users are experiencing drops.

Glad to see some development for this router. I am on the 12/3/14 build and am having problems using it as a wireless client bridge. The connection starts really good but suddenly it will loose connectivity and I have to unplug and plug in the Ethernet cable from the computer. At this point the speed is painfully slow and only a full power cycle of the router will restore it for a short while and then lose connectivity again. The main wireless router is a Motorola from Comcast that also supports VoIP. Is the problem the ddwrt build, router, configuration?

Hi all. First-time poster here. I'm on a similar setup and I'm having same issue while using the 841Nv9 as as a client bridge. I able able to immediately establish a connection but then it quickly drops within a minute or two until I restart. I am running r25697. My modem & router is the Arris DG1670, and i'm using a RT-N66W as an AP. Any help as to what the problem might be would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I switched the routers and used the TP-Link as the AP and then switched to using a couple of Foneras 2100 and 2200 on my Xbox and PC respectively in client mode. I am using the same build as you are and the TP-Link works perfectly fine as an AP. All have been running smoothly for about 10 days and not a single hiccup.
Since the TP-Link and Foneras both use an Atheros chip this could be part of the reason. It is usually recommended, but not necessary, to use the same type of router or one with the same type of chipset. I will probably procure another WR841N to mess around with and see if they work together.
I see that your router main router supports dual-band wireless, the WR841N only support the 2.4GHz but still delivers good speed.

I followed these two instructions to configure the AP and Client Bridge.

So I went ahead and dd-wrt'd my tplink. Now my roku can not find my plex server. My android devices can, but roku plex says no route found. The roku is hardwired. Thanks

Edit: If I put Roku on WiFi, then it connects just fine to my plex server?! Any thoughts? I prefer my Roku to be hardwired. Thanks again.

Run these commands in administration/commands:

swconfig dev eth1 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev eth1 set apply

You might need to replace "eth1" with your own interface

If it works, save them on startup

Thanks, it did not work the first time, used eth0, then tried eth1 but got an error. Rebooted the router and the command with eth0 then worked. The Roku now sees my Plex over the wired connection. Appreciate the help! Very Happy
