Hi!
Most important is to read at first the wiki.
As I got 2 WRT54GL1.1, I read a lot of wiki-docs first, then I've choosen the v23SP2 standard (xxxgeneric.bin) version.
Anyway, I suggest to read docs at first just to know what you are doing (it's really nothing special, in my oppinion it's too easy, only a few points must be considered!). Further, I bet you'll find tons of very useful hints here in order to meet your (mostly special) needs.

Agree Smile , ... that's so easy to flash GL with DD-WRT firmware.. read carefully...
SP3 06/20/07 seem work nicely than SP2... it's beta version but that's work perfectly ...

Just use the generic.bin files. Works like a charm, I'm running v24 Beta (05/16/07) std on my WRT54GL v1.1. In my situation v23 just wasn't stable for more than 5 to 7 days, v24 easily achieves a 30 day uptime.
