I Need some help installing the bwlog on my linksys wrt54gl v1.1 with dd-wrt v23 sp2 9/15/06

I have read the forms and did all that was said (the 10 different ways) and non of them have worked.

i get all the way to the ./start.sh and it takes a pause and then returns to the command line. (is it suppose to output something saying "hey i started" or what?)

if not
then i goto the url myip.com:8000/traffic.cgi and i get a blank page. both firefox and IE 7.

what am i missing?
can someone please give me a direct answer on how to do this.

cd /tmp
wget http://www.krikkit.net/download/wrtbwlog_cust_exp.tgz
tar -xzf wrtbwlog_cust_exp.tgz
rm wrtbwlog_cust_exp.tgz
cd bwlog
./start.sh
