I am having an issue with the iptables command. I have a rule:
| Code: | | iptables -t filter -I FORWARD -p icmp -j logaccept |
According to the documentation this target should log the packet to /tmp/var/log/messages. I ping the router, and when I do a list the above rule shows that it was activated fours times (four four ping requests). However the messages file shows zero bytes and is empty. Am I doing something wrong? |
