EDIT: I HAVE GOT LOGGING WORKING ON OPENVPN PAGE IN ROUTER. STILL CANNOT CONNECT, BUT WILL CONTINUE WORKING ON IT AND POST BACK LATER IF NECESSARY.
EDIT: I FOUND THE RIGHT IP FOR THE VPN IN THE ADVANCED ROUTING TAB SO THAT IS WORKING.
Question: Is there a command I can run on the router to see what is happening when I try to connect?
Netgear R7000
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r27783 std (09/08/15)
Kernel Version Linux 3.10.87 #4581 SMP Mon Sep 7 07:22:00 CEST 2015 armv7l
I have configured OpenVPN as a server using a tunnel on the router, but cannot connect. I used the OpenVPN web site howto to set up certificates, keys, etc. and the wiki for dd-wrt to set up the router. The client parameters are set correctly and I put the proper information in the configuration of the router including a different ip range for OpenVPN.
I am connecting inside the network for now. I will connect from outside after I have success.
I am getting a connection failed message. I checked ifconfig. Should I not see a tun entry?
It seems as if dd-wrt is not opening a connection for 192.168.z.x range after applying, saving, and rebooting the router. _________________ -----------------------------------
