No Reset -- update all 3 live from 28397
GUI install very smooth - nothing broken -- this is too easy -
Two as WDS bridge.
One is WAP + guests network.
Updated WDS-AP and then station and then WAP across WDS bridge.
Working ok so far --- uptime 14 / 8 / 4
Can't say for certain the guests network on the WAP is working but I'm sure it is.
I did see three devices connect back to main WAP interface after the update ... I bet they are wondering 'what the heck is he doing now'

Anyone using a WZR-600DHP or WZR-HP-AG300H...skip this build....wait for a post 28429 build to come out. The wireless issue with these two routers was just fixed today with the 28429 update.

Router: Tp-Link C7 v2
Firmware: r28417
Kernel: Linux 3.18.24 #6663 Thu Dec 3 05:25:56 CET 2015 mips
Status:Ok
Reset: No
Errors: 5ghz vht80 display rate error. A reboot was indicated after flashing like normal, but didn't actually reboot. I saw some pretty strange behavior from it as a result, but a reboot brought it back to normal without having to reset.
I can't report on vdmz's DNS issues, as mine is an AP.
Tested adding some configuration changes and making a backup, resetting router again and restoring said backup.
nvram show commands returns finally a list of everything
Result: OK
Configuration was restored OK though it wasn't a full configuration at this test time.
SSH is fully operational, memory usage/reporting seems normal, Wifi is operational.
Issues:
* When saving a MAC filter list edit it returns an empty/blank page, closing pop up and reopening the items added to this list are there though.
That seems like an issue due to way the (access restrictions tab) The Wan Access policy list, similar type dialog and works fully OK, applying settings/saving returns the list itself not blank page.
(Browser Firefox 42.0)
Annoyances:
The theme I have is elegant -> dark style enabled.
* The quirk is that when changing DNS servers or other random dialogs the styles were lost temporarily (reverted to non dark) a refresh seemed to bring that back.
