I'm looking for a router under $200 on Amazon that I can run dd-wrt. RT-ac87u and rt-ac3200 seem to fit the bill, but people seem to have issues for both using dd-wrt.
My priorities are Speed, Stability, dd-wrt, OpenVPN.
What would you recommend? I'm open to other suggestion than these two.
Thanks!!!

R7000 unless you need to do some REALLY heavy duties.
I know you said dd-wrt but if your open to another good fork of firmware then the 87u is nice with AsusMerlin on it.
Merlin tweaks stock firmware so its the same great gui.
Solid, mature and a nice OpenVPN implementation.
Otherwise I love my R7000; cannot go wrong with this device. It has a very mature 3rd party firmware and pretty much awesome. _________________ Router currently owned:
