I am trying to set up some simple streaming video from my home, this is what I have done so far:

Plugged in a cheap webcam and installed windows media encoder 9 to use port 3338 and started the server.

Set up port forwarding on my WHR-HP-G54 to use port 8090 forwarding to port 3338 on the ip for the PC the webcam is plugged into.

I can see the streaming video from another pc on my LAN, by using both the pc address (//pcname:3338) directly and the DNS name I have set up pointing at port 8090. When I log into my remote PC (via logmein) and try and access using <mydnsname:8090> it does not work.

Is there something else in the router I need to set up? Should I try a different port?

thanks
