I just flashed my WRT54GSv4 directly to the VoIP 23sp2 firmware. Now I'm trying to enable QoS and prioritize some ports. However, sometimes, the webgui won't come up. I'll have to take out the power port then plug it back in to get the gui to come back. What's strange is that I can still ping the router and I can still access the internet (as I'm doing right now). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

The webgui seems to stop responding whenever I try to save settings. I was just in the QoS screen trying to save some settings. I click on SAVE, and the gui doesn't come back up.

There is about 100 others like your, and none of you follow instructions

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Index:FAQ

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Installation#Possible_errors

Press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for 30 seconds

Updating through the Web GUI means you need to use the _generic version, as mentioned briefly in the hwsupport.txt file

Use the _mini version when upgrading from original Linksys firmware

I did the hard reset after I upgraded, like the instructions say. They way that I read the instructions was that if you could get access to the webgui after the firmware update, that everything went well. I could access the gui after I did the upgrade and hard reset. But anytime I save a setting in QoS I can't access the gui until a reboot. I also flashed straight to the VoIP firmware cuz I thought I could cut a corner. On the wiki, several others said that they managed to go right to the big FW without installing the mini. I guess I'll have to reflash to linksys, then flash again to mini then up to STD (is this the right procedure?. I just want the QoS. Thanks!

I flashed my router back to the stock firmware. I waited for 5 minutes. I then did the 30 second reset. Everything seemed to be working. I then flashed with the mini firmware. I waited for 5 more minutes. I then performed the 30 second reset. I now am trying to upgrade to the std firmware. I press the upgrade button and immediately get an error page (in IE6). I refresh the page and receive an UPGRADE FAILED message. I try the QoS on the mini version and whenever I save the settings, I get an IE error screen. What am I doing wrong? THanks!

What do you mean console in and see what happened? Do you want me to check logs somewhere? Is there something that I am missing? I'll try clearing the browser cache and running the arp command to delete the inet addy. Any other thoughts? Thanks!
