Does anyone know if it is possible to have jtag on linksys wrt 600n? I have overwritten cfe so it doesn't boot anymore. I can also unsolder flash memory but i don't have the file to load. I have CFE but i don't know from which address to load cfe. Can sonemone help me?
Thanks.

no standard JTAG on WRT600N ... only serial ... but at this point, it is not clear to me what recovery options are available via this method, or if it is just an optional way to communicate with the router.

See this website:

http://wiki.zeropain.com/index.php/WRT600NV11_Serial_Port

Also note .. this is NOT a standard RS232 port .. you need a special cable.

Hi, I need to JTAG my bricked router and I saw the JTAG pinouts of the WRT routers in the sticky thread in the forum. I noticed that those are the pinouts for the router pcb itself. That is one end of the cable, my problem is the other end of the cable (where it connects to a db15 connector). What pin number of the db15 is the nTRST, TDI, TD0, TMS, TCK, nSRST, GND, and FLOAT?

Sorry for being a noob

Hello World !!!

I have found the JTAG pinout of the edimax device !!!

Device: PS1208MFg (Edimax Print Server)
CPU: Broadcom BCM5354KFGB
Flash: 29LV160CB (2MB Flash)

When you watch mainboard from top, with the jtag port at bottom, the first pin is to the right. Next from right to left, we have:

PIN2: TDI
PIN3: TDO
PIN4: TMS
PIN5: TCK

At this point, the last Tornado tjtag can detect, read, write to flash with this commandline:

Code:
./tjtag3 -probeonly /fc:09

If you want more information, please see my thread about edimax print server, in the broadcom hardware section.

Thanks for reading and sorry for my mistakes, I'm french Wink

The cable schematic is a couple of posts up. The jtag port is the 12 pin closest to the front of the board. Pin 1 is the pin with the square pad.

Solder in a 12 pin header, buy or build a cable. If you purchase a cable, they are all over on e-bay. Refer to the tjtag thread stickied at the top of the forum for software location and instructions.

Search the forum for de-brick. I have seen Redhawk and Barryware both give step by step direction.

i've got a jtag cable that i bought off ebay already, i need to know what to solder and which pins for the wrt54gs v4.1 and grounding and things, photos would be really handy. I've got 1 of those 12pin header things that you can push into the connector and into the board.

solder the connector to the board. Connect the cable to the PP of your rig and to the connector.

Load the giveio.sys driver.

run the jtag software.

the jtag port on your board is the one with the 12 holed closest to the led's. pin 1 is the hole with the square pad.

go through the jtag thread stickied near the top of the forum. Everything you need is in the thread or has been posted before.

Hi all,
I'm trying to access via jtag to my AP Netgear wg60v3
I tried 'normal' MIPS jtag pins but without result... parallel port and cable seems ok..
Effectively pins 2-4-6-8-10 are ground and 14 is +3.3v. pin 12 with 14 reset the AP.
Anyway there is a procedure for guessing correct sequence, i.e. with a multimeter or looking the traces?

edit:

...sorry AP is wg602v3

Regards

See if this helps.. On a different device, I had to switch pin 5 & 9
