Yetserday I flashed 5-7-2006 and wend back to 4-7-2006, and restored old settings from backup 4-7-2006.

Tomorrow i flashed the new one 6-7-2006.
All works fine, but no login is possible.

Yep, that's why is warning file. 5 and 6 builds are great. No reason for back to older builds. I flash from 5 to 6 without reset and for now without problems. But after WAP54G flash back to the original FW and then flash to the 5-7 micro again I don't have access because I don't know user/pass. The WAP54G was with default setting and default password was admin. Any ideas how to get access to the WAP54G? I try root/admin - isn't work.

Maybe it's a coincidence but my flash failed on the 2006-0706. (WHR-G54S). All attempts to unbrick it has failed. I'll keep trying. Crying or Very sad

flashing buffalo is really simple. just note that you may have to use tftp on 192.168.1.1 and not on 192.168.11.1

It is simple. I'm not getting any pings and the red diagnostic LED is not coming on when power is applied - just the bridge LED is lit.

I've been keeping up with the daily multi-language releases and this is the first time a flash has failed.

I'll keep trying... :(

(Keep up the good work BS)

plugin your power right now after the switch led's are going off (they are all going on after plugin) press enter with tftp and never wait for a ping. this timeslot is too short for windows ping and arp table refresh.
another easy way. hold reset while plugin power and tftp to 192.168.11.1

Upgrade from previous firmware will lock your router !! (not brick).
See Warning.txt in downloads from todays alphas
You can not get into webinterface
You can not ssh the router
You can not telnet the router
You can not change anything, because you can't login.
On many routers the factory reset will not work, or will brick your router!

Yeah, right... So why is it working for me?!?!? DOWNgrading is not possible, upgrading without any trouble!!!

This worked! Surprised Thanks for your help and reassurance. I won't feel so uneasy next time I brick the router.
