Is there any way you could open up your networks property page, and the http file server, take a screenshot and post it here?

Because it sound like there is probably a tiny setting out of place, and I might be able to see it if you can do that.

I'll do it as soon as I arrive home but... if the router can't ping the pc, the http server will never work! just let me repeat: ip's are correct, no firewalls, pc can ping the router. thanks again

How did it get started that you needed a crossover cable for these things? They have an auto-sensing ethernet jack, so it doesn't matter what you use.

You need to follow the Kolofonium method for 0.7.1r2.

The guide I linked you to contains links, so does the dd-wrt fonera wiki.

I've the same problem! My ISP uses DHCP and I don't know which IP use! Can someone help us?

EDIT:

Did someone succeded using this:

Quote:
This works on the newest firmware:
1. Hold reset button for 30 seconds
2. Remove the power connector while still holding reset.
3. Replace power connector and continue holding reset button until "wifi" lights up and goes away again (a good 2-3 minutes of holding it).
4. Let go and wait for "wifi" to come back (2-3 minutes).

I tried and it doesn't work!

EDTI 2: I made it. Check the next post.

Well chantas, I figured it out. Do this: Connect your modem to your Network Card and wait until you can surf the web. Then double click on the tray icon of that network connection. See what is it's IP, it's subnet mask and it's Gateway. Write them down. Then on the La Fonera Configuration page, in static IP configuration, write the IP, Subnet mask and Gateway that you wrote down before; and the Kolofonium DNS server. Save.
Then power off the La Fonera and the Modem. Connect them with a network cable. Power up them at the same time. Then with a Wireless adaptor connect to MyPlace network. Then with Putty you have SSH access. Wink Make it permanent and follow this guide: http://uselesshacks.com/?p=23

PS: Are you Portuguese? Smile

Hey, I've run through all the setup for a Fonera router running dd-wrt up until about this command... "fis create -r 0x80041000 -e 0x80041000 vmlinux.bin.l7" while this was running I got up and walked around and when I came back the putty telnet window was just gone. I'm not really sure what happened but I tried to reconnect by restarting the router and telneting to it but i get a message saying:

" == Executing boot script in 9.990 seconds - enter ^C to abort "
At this point I can't do anything. Entering ^C doesn't effect it and waiting does nothing.

Is it bricked?

Thanks in advance.

I was in a simillar state trying to recover from a botched client-bridge setup. I switched from windows telnet to putty telnet and it worked for me! BTW, don't count on actually having 9 seconds to react... beyond this I think you can salvage your flash by doing fis delete on the vmlinux.bin and redoing the fis create. There is another thread here somewhere which led me to this approach to salvage mine.
