Currently I have client mode set up on my 2.4ghz antenna to connect to an xfinitywifi hotspot and bridge it to my lan pcs. I was wondering if it's possible to connect the 5ghz antenna to a different ap in client mode and get faster speeds? Or will it just pick the faster one?

Okay, I thought that might be the case. Seeing as Windows won't do it either. Also I do use the other band for connecting wireless devices, but it doesn't seem like there's a way to bridge the xfinitywifi hotspot from one band to the other, only to the lan ports. I mostly use it to share files over my home network.

That is the purpose of Client Mode. That is why it is not in Client Bridge mode.

You can create a wireless AP on the second chip (5GHz). It should get internet access. Make sure the DHCP server is enabled on the router. Leave it bridged.
