Hello,
I can specify my problem a bit more.
A short overvieuw of my router setup
-> Internet -> Modem -> e3200 Router -> e3200 Bridge -> server
Now everything works PERFECTLY. I can acces the router over dyndns server / open vpn / web base etc.
ONLY- after some time I can not connect to the network drives anymore. The network drives are mounted in windows by openVPN or directly at my private home network I am not capable to connect to the drives. The webinterface etc all works. Strangly I also lose connection to the bridge router (sometimes).
Previously I used a single wired e2000 router. No problems for half a year, but now by adding the a MiniHD2 media box I needed a bridge.
Does someone have a clue where I can find the problem why after half a day the network drive are no accecables anymore?
Thanks a lot
Roel

did you try to simply flash the stock firmware via the upgrade tab in the dd-wrt gui?
remember to select to reset to defaults after the flash from the drop down on the upgrade page. _________________[Moderator Deleted]

I haven't tried it yet. I wasn't sure if it was safe so I figured I'll ask You guys first before I do anything.

I'm a rookie. From this thread have my 3200 up on DD-WRT. Want to capture RFlow info.
Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (09/09/11) big
Set Rflow and MACupd enabled, ports as standard, tried both "WAN" and "LAN & WLAN".
Using RFlow Collector, can see the MACupd In packets. GUI displays my IPs, their MAC addresses.
But not seeing any RFlow In data. Any ideas on confirming the router is putting this info out? Is this a rookie mistake?
Thank you.

we had an issue with one client, where the wireless security could not be enabled with this model. this was back with 17201 though.

So I'm thinking of purchasing either the e3200 or e4200 for dual band N\G and won't need much of anything else for the time being.
Which of the two is better on stability? I was leaning toward the e3200, but seeing some people have problems here. What's the overall prognosis?

If you are looking for a router with full dd-wrt support I would go for the E4200, the E3200 is only partially supported.. The 5ghz radio is a USB type broadcom chipset and is currently not supported, so you would only have the 2.4ghz side.

E4200 version 2 is unsupported and there is no way to know what you are getting.
E3200 seems to have severe wireless issues so we cannot recommend that either.
Seems there is no Linksys router in current production that is DD-WRT compatible anymore.

There isn't any to report.
There not 5ghz support due to lack of drivers..may change in a few months with the new asus router coming out that has similar hardware.
The 2.4ghz on the 3200 is slow and bounces all over due to the lack of work being done on this router.
Who wants to work on something that you can only get halfway going.
For now its wait and see of use stock.
Actually cancel that idea the new router is out and it doesn't use the same hardware so drivers are unlikely.

you can still find e3000s at the moment, new and at a discount; its a better bet than the e3200 at the moment due to dd-wrt support issues
