linksys e3000 with old build. Where do I go from here

I have a linksys e3000 that i pulled out of my parts closet. Im trying to do some trouble shooting with it.
Its currently running v24-sp2 04/13/11 16785. I went to go pull the new version of dd-wrt and i noticed some stuff about the n60 firmwares.

Its still nto really clear to me but what I think i need to do is flash

dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e3000.bin

then i can go up to the N60 of my choice. Is that correct?
