i think it would be very good to not have firmwares scattered through the thread.
1st post tells about the item
2nd post should be reserved so we know the firmwares that are current for the specific router.
think safety is always important when flashing routers or phones.
anyhow i appreciate the asus firmware option but its pretty much just like belkin isnt it?
is this the cloesest we get to dd-wrt or is there another firmware option that i missed or dont know about?
also if anyone knows if these radios can go into monitor mode would be great
when i do ifconfig -a i see quite a bit in there
i think the:
ra0
ra1
rai0
rai1
are the interfaces i can bring up and down to check?

That's a good project for you, then, to make a new thread with what you learn from here for everyone's benefit, since you went to all the trouble, why not give back to the community?
give me the rest of the info im asking for and I might just do that

The google code page is shut down, which is a shame as it had most of the documentation on it. I am trying to get fq_codel or some other sqm running on this router but now that the FAQ and guide on installing Entware is gone I foresee that taking a while.
EDIT (9/9/15): The bitbucket page is getting some documentation. The bitbucket wiki seems more complete then the previous google code page aswell so I am very excited for this new development.
radmir: how do you create the builds for the BN750DB ?
What's different from the builds for the Asus n65u? Sorry if this has already been answered in the thread, I am trying to catch up.
I ran the trx file on virustotal, and nothing was detected as malware. I then extracted the files from the trx file and then zipped the extracted files. This way, one of the files was detected as a piece of malware by one scanner. This comes from radmir's files at https://yadi.sk/d/6ttXcerpJ2hg3/F9K1103

Most likely, this is a false positive, but it appears to be better when you upload multiple files as zip rather than using .bin or .trx.
I looked at the file extracted from radmir's firmware and also from padavan's, they are the same SHA-256. This means that we can look at the source on padavan's bitbucket.
radmir thank you for porting padavan's N56U project. I hope you will continue porting future releases. I was going to buy an expensive Asus router to replace my Belkin N750. But the custom firmware has fixed many problems like 5ghz throughput with the stock firmware. Now I can change my WAN settings without having to reboot the router. Your port has saved me from wasting more money Keep up the hard work.
Too bad Belkin writes terrible firmware and they abandon products not bothering to fix severe problems. The custom firmware unlocks the full potential of the N750 hardware.

jewshawn2, The weird part of it is Belkin knows about the the latest version firmware being buggy (can't turn off wireless) and apparently there was supposed to be a fix out. Going back to the previous version is no good because it has a security bug.
They used to have a link to the developer of the firmware on the firmware update page. I contacted them and got the runaround on the buggy firmware. They no longer link to Arcadyan developers anymore - really crap service.
I have a belkin 750 and since some updates of firmware (between 094 and 096) the 2.4g band doesn't work anymore, is dead ... the admin page says that is active, but the BSSID is missing.
