I installed the BN750DB_3.4.3.9-096_dlna and my connection has slowed to a crawl. I'm not sure of exactly what happened and was wondering if anyone else had experienced this.
I have a very stable connection here in Japan and prior to installation my down speed was upwards of 400Mb/s and has now dropped to less than 10Mb/s.

does aircrack-ng, reaver-wps, wireshark (monitor mode) work?
I don't care about dlna mostly just ssh and monitor mode. (packet injection)
could someone edit 1st post to have instructions on:
what to flash
where to get the file(s)
how to flash after we get the files
how to preserve our original mac addresse(s)
how to revert to original belkin software if needed
I see bits and pieces scattered out through this whole thread but I have not found the guide to do this stuff.
someone please make a guide so we can do this.
its a pretty powerful router and it deserves a guide.

Once you are up and running with your latest firmware, don't forget to reboot your modem (especially if you're using PPPoE) as the router MAC address will have changed.
Since the belkin has dual usb, anyone try turning this router into a software raid storage backup? Of course the slow usb ports won't be good for big files but backup for smaller files like photos would be cool.

I am using this firmware file on it - BN750DB_3.4.3.9-096_nano.trx.
I have also used "*base.trx" file with an earlier version.
Where do you seen the (01A), I am looking at the label underneath the router, nothing like this there.

with the stock belkin firmware it is on the page that first loads up
see in the very 1st post here in this thread that he has 01A
to my understanding there are at least two different version to this V1 router (where the sticker is)
v1 = 01A and 01C or 0C1 or something like that.
now again to my understanding there IS differences
when someone posts firmware links they really really should make it clear since these are BIOS files and not everyone has a JTAG or Serial or eeprom flasher

a moderator should clean this thread up and either make it just about the V1 router with TWO different firmwares or the topic needs changed to 01A and 0C1 or whatever it is for V1 routers

im pretty sure that there was a problem with the different numbers (being either with the hardware or the firmware)
in the 1st post "Topic" he puts the 01A in there for a reason otherwise it would just say "v1"
i will have to do some digging but like i said im pretty sure there is something that is actually changed
be it the bootloader or proprietary firmware.
to my understanding this v1 01A does have a locked bootloader and we are only able to flash ASUS firmware because they must have something same as this belkin (as far as it being locked) am i correct about it being just a modified ASUS firmware and not a fully working DD-WRT?
i mean if we had a fully working DD-WRT then it would be on the DD-WRT site right?

Plot twist, what you actually have is 01B but there is a bug in the software that misreads the model number.
Seriously, look at the FCC database (it's public), compare the pictures in the filling to your own router, in the filling each chip is photographed and you can see the model and numbers of all components, just to make sure hardwarewise it's the same thing.
This 01X seems to be a software thing. Maybe it's the bootloader.
Anyway, it's clear no one has the answer you want to hear. You only have one way to solve this, flash the router with the provided bin and then report back, sacrifices have to be made in name of science, well, not sacrifices, learn first how the recovery mode works.

could someone explain how to do this?

Weren't you complaining before that this thread is too long? MAYBE it's too long because when people are finally satisfied with an answer they stop caring about others and start talking about something else!
I think it would be more appropriate to create a separate thread for your 'packet capture project', this is not even something specific to this router.
