wrong link indeed!
did you make a ticket about the tx power problem?
make it here : http://svn.dd-wrt.com/timeline
maybe with dmesg..
any info about the reboots?
I have upgraded my WA801ND v1 to latest release r20453, no problems thus far. The only thing that is strange is an extremely low load average as compared to previous releases. Now it's well below 0.1 whereas before it usually was around 0.4 - maybe it's just a bug, who knows...
Additionally I can report the WA801ND is finally working in Client Bridge mode as a Repeater again. However, the updated firmware is not the reason for the unit to be working. Read on...
Everyone interested in using the TP-Link WA801ND v1 as a Wireless Repeater and having trouble getting it to work should try the following: In Wireless Basic Settings set the Channel width to "Full (20Mhz)", even when using N/G/NG-Mixed Network mode. Setting a higher Channel width does not work at this time (at least for me). There is a bug report on this topic, see here. Maybe this bug affects all Atheros-based units, I don't know.
Please report if this helps. I hope this bug can be fixed
P.S. yes it does... but only 20MHz. 40MHz can selected but Accespoint dont use it. Inssider say Max Rate 133MBit, but it can max. 300MBit.
-------------------
P.S. 2 Here two Pictures of Hardware TL-WA801ND V1.2 Maybee it helps or someone usefull. Pictures are Public Domain License. Free for use, example for Router DB etc.
woben have you installed the latest version(20548)?
how stabel is your accespoint?
Yes, this version I use.
The Accespoint works since 3 Days... unfortunately without 40MHz Bandwidth and no 300MBit.
About the stability I can not say much. It still works and I do not have to reset it or something to get it work again.
My Accespoint is connected via LAN-Wire. Otherwise everything is OK for me. Most of my WLAN Computers have only 54MBit Wlan g Adapter. But would be nice for one Computer to have full speed with N 300MBit.
I miss in the DD-WRT some features that existed in the old Linksys DD-WRT. I think switching to DD-WRT on this unit is current not yet recommend

in latest fw , did you can change the tx power from default 20dbm to 15dbm or 10dbm ?
was the device has rebooted ? if yes, see the tx power are is still same as setting (ex. 20dbm)
i have the issue with tx power in the latest fw build
to make the device have 300mbps rate did you checked the wireless setting ? set the network mode to NG mixed/ mixed and channel width to dynamic 20/40 ..thats make my 801n rate 300mbps (see attachment)

Hey!
I downloaded the webflash file from this (ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2013/01-01-2013-r20453/tplink_tl-wa801ndv1/tl-wa801nd-webflash.bin) and wanted to upload it to my Access Point, but I got the following error:
Quote:
Error code: 18005
Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name.
I´m using Firmware 3.12.16 Build 120309 Rel.51241n.
What can I do now?
