Hey guys, got two tp links here, one 730 that doesn't seem to have a firmware yet, that's just acting as a AP for now, and the fantastic 801ND V1.2 that is being discussed in this topic, latest firmware running but i can't seem to use it in client bridge mode, with wpa2 psk and a virtual wifi channel as well... but i can use it if i chose wep
Weird hum?

are there people that can recommend a newer version than r20453?
I only use it as an AP, this version seems to be working fine on 20mhz full mixed.

40mhz should be fixed in the 20630+ builds:
http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/2800

did anyone try r20675?

hi..i test the r20675 (quick report test)
i use it as AP with WDS link to rocket m2 with r19519, but r20575 seems have low TXRATE (i always stuck in 1M txrate)..low txrate occur in WDS link, if use it as single AP with no WDS..its work perfect ok.
(see the pic)
still have to test it further
my other AP use r19519 ...stable so far with WDS link

The wa801nd running r20453 sometimes drops the signal and restores it after 10 sec.

Which version do you think is most stable using the wa801nd for simple AP 20mhz WPA2/AES usage?

In AP mode, what do you use for security settings?
WPA2 personal AES?

hey there,

today i bought my WA801ND V2, checked the hardware and was suprised. in my opinion there is no difference between the WA801ND V2 and WA830RE V2! the WA830RE V2 is under "developing/testing" there --> http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=171908&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

flint

edit: the production code an revision on mainboard is also the same (2053500039 Rev:1.0)

edit: binary from link above works well on my WA801ND V2 like on WA830RE V2. there is also no lan after first boot --> binary came from WR841ND V8 where the switch part of AR9x is connected to the world. first connect at wlan to configure lan port.

Hi everyone!

Please help!

Have TP-LINK TL-WA801ND V1 with DD-WRT with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/24/13) std - build 22118 (lin 3.5.7.16 #289)

The problem is that only 1 LAN port

I Have DHCP LAN for WAN, and I can't get how to do Internet works.
I separate from the bridge WLAN(interface ath0), and assign it to bridge br0, create DNSMasq DHCP for WLAN in range 192.168.100.*,
looks like WAN works fine (interface eth1, on the Setup-Networking-WAN Port Assignment I put eth1, if I change it to eth0, than WAN can't obtain IP) and I can ping sites from router, but i can't get it thru Wi-Fi.
LAN also looks fine on the interface eth0, but how it works I can't understand. When I plug it in computer it works like LAN in the range 192.168.1.*. But because of WAN DHCP IP assignment I need to manual IP assignment on PC.

There's current Bridging table
Code:
br0 STP-no Interfaces - (without WAN there is eth0)
br1 STP-Yes Interfaces - ath0

There's routing tables (Operating Mode - Gateway)
Code:
0.0.0.0       0.0.0.0       10.188.186.1 UG 0 WAN
10.188.186.0  255.255.254.0 0.0.0.0      U  0 WAN
169.254.0.0   255.255.0.0   0.0.0.0      U  0 LAN&WLAN
192.168.1.0   255.255.255.0 0.0.0.0      U  0 LAN&WLAN
192.168.100.0 255.255.255.0 0.0.0.0      U  0 br0

I look into Port Switching and get such things from system
Code:
ping_ip=nvram show | grep vlan.*port
vlan0ports=1 2 3 4 5*
vlan1ports=0 5

ping_ip=nvram show | grep port.*vlans
port0vlans=1
port1vlans=0
port2vlans=0
port3vlans=0
port4vlans=0
port5vlans=0 1 16

ping_ip=nvram show | grep vlan.*hw
vlan0hwname=et0
vlan1hwname=et0

And everything looks fine, except that I haven't 4 of 5 ports ) I knew how to change nvram variables, but I can't get what's it what here (eth0, eth1, ath0 - ???)

Please help! I need hust working WLAN+WAN without any LAN.

Heh! Problem was in SPI Firewall, when I switched it off - everything started work fine.

Another problem is 65Mbps speed (must be 150/300). Is this firmware problem and it's possible to wait patches or I missed something?

Hey there!

I´m very new to DD-WRT. Today, I wanted to install DD-WRT to my WA801ND ver1.2. I searched the router database and found a entry with 3 files. I used factory_to_ddwrt.bin to upgrade in the web interface, and everything went fine; it says "upgrade successful".
But after rebooting, I cannot access DD-WRT´s web interface. I did a 30/30/30 reset, but it didn´t worked. I ping´d the default IP address as well as the IP address I assigned in the old web interface, but none of them is reachable. My PC shows a WLAN network named "dd-wrt", though, but I don´t have access to the internet when I connect to it.

When I restart it (unplugging, then replugging), Power, LAN, WLAN and QSS LED are on. They don´t blink as before, and the System LED isn´t on, only while doing the reset sequence.

What should I do? Did I something wrong?

Greets, Pixx

EDIT: I GOT IT NOW! After installing DD-WRT, my ACCESS POINT got the same IP as my ROUTER (192.168.1.1), which cannot work! I found this out by executing arp -a and searching for the mac address.
The wiki says that I can access the web interface with the same IP than before, this is wrong for this! The default IP for the WA801ND is 192.168.1.254.

Hi, I wan't to install ddwrt to a WA801ND v1.2 to use it as a Repeater. Can someone recommend which version is actually the more stable and tested one, and where can I download it?
In the "Support List" it says: tl-wa801ndv1 - build 19327 - 20120606. But there no links, and as I read here, there are newer version tested.
Thanks!!
