Hi,

I have a new v1.8 TL-link WR1043ND that I installed v24-sp2 (12/20/11) std (SVN revision 18024) on and wireless is super slow, it's really unusable, web pages often time out and don't load on iPad/laptop but the connection on laptop connected to the router with a cable works very fast.

My wireless settings are all default except, security is WPA2 Personal with AES.

What settings should I try tweaking the get the wireless working at a usable speed?

Cheers

I have the same setup - the following works well for me:

Wireless Mode: AP
Wireless Network Mode: NG Mixed
Channel Width: Turbo
Wireless Channel: 6
Extension Channel: lower

Security is WPA2 personal with AES.

I found that manually picking the channel worked better for me, I also did the full '30-30-30' reset during the upgrade process.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips, I just did a 30-30-30 to see if that helps and I've changed the settings to what you suggested.

What does setting Extension Channel to lower do?

This worked brilliantly for me! Thanks a lot. Still not getting the performance I was hoping for, but a lot better with these settings.

Hi guys.

I'm a noob.

I have bought wr1043nd to replace my old linksys BG wireless router. It was to slow to transfer files by wireless around 1.8 MB/s.

In my new wr1043nd v1.8 I installed DD-WRT. But wireless speed is around 2.2 MB/s in 802.11N mode...

(my laptop is around 4 meters from router)

I'm very disapointed...

I have
Wireless Mode: AP
Wireless Network Mode: NG Mixed
Channel Width: Full (I can't change this option)
Wireless Channel: 9
Extension Channel: (this option does not exist)
Security is WPA2 personal with AES.

What is 30-30-30?!

Any ideias how I can get decent speeds?
