I never understood why there are two separate tabs within the firmware. In principal I would think the Port Forwarding tab would allow only 1 port to be opened per rule, while Port Range Forwarding would be able to forward multiple ports per rule. This is not the case though. Port Forwarding is capable of Port Range Forwarding so why is there two tabs? Sorry of this seems like a stupid question, but I guess I have a bit of OCD and this trivial little matter always had me puzzled lol.

No true.. Port forwarding only allows one port.

from wan port => to lan port.

You can change the port.. from wan port 3389 forward to lan port 3390

port range forwarding has start & end.

starting port to end port.. from start to end and everything in between will be forwarded.
