Hi to everyone,

first of all I apologize if the same question has been raised before but I spent whole day browsing this forum and the rest of net to find out how to access my FTP on Windows 7 machine. I have Linksys WRT 160NL and while I've been using stock firmware, I've just forwarded port 21 and that's all. Filezilla server responded without any problems.

Few days ago I've updated the firmware to DD-WRT (BrainSlayer's build 1877 from March 19th, 2012) and no way to get it work. I've even put my computer to DMZ but no success. At least check on www.canyouseeme.org says port 21 is open, Filezilla server interface writes somebody is trying to access and that's all. When trying to connect with Total Commander's FTP or Windows Explorer they can not reach the FTP.

I have set TCP port 21 forward to my computer, I've forwarded a range of TCP ports 7000-7020 to my computer (for passive connections) and some ports for uTorrent. The last ones seem to work fine...

I haven't done any modifications, didn't add any scripts, PROFTPD on router is disabled...

Any ideas? Please bear with me, I am not well accustomed to Linux nor such routers Wink

tried Filezilla Client ?

If you are using a NAS, I just setup Samba shares and you can access it like a normal network computer

No need to try Filezilla Client - I've tried Total Commander's FTP client which works very reliably for me.
And I do not use NAS, I do not have a hard drive connected to router's USB port. The printer is supposed to be connected there someday.

So the FTP port forwarding to dedicated client computer (where FTP server is working) still remains a mystery for me... Please help!

Builds over 17000 have a problem with port forwarding as far as I know. This command should get it working:

Code:
Enable NAT on the WAN port to correct a bug in builds over 17000

iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o `get_wanface` -j SNAT --to `nvram get wan_ipaddr`
