hey everyone!
So, i would like some help and see if anyones managed to solve this problem.
I have a Asus RT-AC66u running stock firmware as a router connect to the modem and a usb disk drive running DHCP 192.168.1.x throughout the whole network.
This main router, works as a NAS service, using miniDlna to do this and it's work pretty well when i connect directly yo this router using either my laptop or a xbox on the living room.
The problem comes when i'm connected to a TP-Link TL-WR841ND v7 using dd-wrt v24-sp2 running as a client bridge to extend my wireless network to another part of the house.
Both have the same SSID and when connected to the tp-link it handles the correct ip address assigned by the dhcp server on the asus router. I can even see the HDD through the samba server appearing on finder.
But i can't see the minidlna server on the same laptop used aboved, and on a ps3 connected to the tp-link using a ethernet cable.
i did some research and it's appear to be something related to the client bridge mode not forwarding multicast packets, and something about the upnp .. i also find some guys that had the same problem using OpenWrt and manage to solve by using a igpmproxy tool.. but i really dont understand much about this
