i actually might cancel this and go with a e1200 since it seems to have better 2.4GHz throughput
Thanks! I'm gonna flash it..and tell you via Pm..this is not the right place to talk about other firmwares
Oh I agree, and I thank everyone for contributing to dd-wrt, just getting the word out that there are other things. I figure if tomato works, it should give hopes to the community that a very good version of dd-wrt is attainable
Any changes for you? Note that you'll probably want to do full 30/30/30's or nvram resets as discussed in the build thread it isn't resetting some nvram values properly.
Uhun, everything working ok! Speeds are the same, but no 5Ghz...

After checking the DD-WRT Wiki info / Router Database / Peacock Announcements & 21 pages of the support forum E2500 tread... the baseline best practice (for setting up a new Cisco Linksys E2500) seems to remain pointing at the following firmware bundles:
new builds @ 19711 are up on barrywares ftp... I am testing now on my N66U and E2500..

First I want to say thanks for posting your builds. Anything new in 19711(ie 5ghz)?. Also any of getting a mega build? Or is that something I can do myself from source?

according to http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/2536 there is a bug in the code for OpenVPN. I am attempting to see if there has been any follow up. Several of us are continuing to have TLS Hand shake errors with this build of DD-WRT. I specifically have used the CRT/KEY on different platforms and it consistently fails on the E2500 that I want it to work on.

i'm following the thread till start and i've tried two build so far
build 18710 every thing work well for me, wireless as good speed and i'm having about 14 clients wirelessly so for those who have bad speed can't help. Only one thing isn't working well for my use and it is the port fowarding can't manage to get it working even in DMZ mode. so if some one can pinpoint me i'll really apreciate it.
can someone test the port fowarding part of the build 19453 and tell if it seem to work well thank in advance and too late for all that work around the globe!!! you rock all!
I am having the same problem with 19342. The router will not forward external port requests. I can access the router using ddns but not any of my underlying programs. UPnP works well though.
I appreciated all the work done on this machine already. Help with port forwarding would be much appreicated.
