Here is a screen grab when my son was watching Netflix: (the gap on the right is when I had him pause it)

He is on wireless, but wireless and LAN show him uploading more than downloading. WAN shows the reverse.... I am just a bit confused on why LAN and Wireless seam to be backwards.

Thanks

Perhaps it is because the router is reporting what the router is doing, not what your son is doing.

My son wasn't relevant, just "usage" in whatever form. I started a large download and it shows the same thing.

In/Out makes sense when you are talking about a computer, it is at the end of the line. But when referring to a router, it really doesn't (IMO). In a router it is more about direction, than "In/Out", regardless of what direction the data is going, it has to go in and out of the router.

No big deal in the end, just confusing labeling of functions to me.

Thanks.

WAN goes in. LAN goes out. Upload. Download. It's what the ROUTER is doing.
