Why is router database not updated?

May I ask why the database page for the RT-N16 hasn't been updated? I've been looking for updates, and my firmware is so old I'm seriously thinking about trying some of the firmware links mentioned in the RT-N16 thread.

I just like to play it safe, try to make sure I don't brick my router or anything...
