hi,

so i got this wrt54 router. it has some firmware problems and i want to fix it. the box says it's WRT54G V7 but i don't trust that(after the last time when i got GS instead of GL). so im giving a foto below. could anyone tell me what model do i have? because i wanna do a jtag but dunno what fw to use exactly. if any info is needed i'll try to help as much as i can.

uncover the proc and take a picture, if its an atheros proc its a wrt54G v7 which s not able to be supported by dd-wrt.

It is a WRT54G V7, there is no other WRT54 with a serial flash chip.

2MB Flash and 8MB Ram, non-supported crap.

so if it goess bad it's done? no way to recover it anyhow?

what if i'd resolder that chip to a bigger one? or is that not possible?

There is still no suitable dd-wrt build for it and Brainslayer does not make builds for a modded hardware which you would be the only user of.

Forget it, put it in the garbage bin.
