i have a refurbished e1000v2 loaded with dd-wrt standard-nokaid-small 17201.
the problem i have is that no matter what tx power, channel, 20/40 mhz, or any other setting i do, i can't get it above 11mbps(5.5 on 20Hz btw). any way to fix this? my area does not have many wifi APs so i don't think it's a problem of interference. any help is appreciated.
Sounds like you're testing from somewhere with very little signal to the AP.

i forgot to mention that before i bought this router, i was using a wrt54gv8 with dd-wrt on it. when i used that using 802.11g, i constantly got 54mbps probably due to the fact that it has powerful external antennas. the e1000v2 now occupies the same place that the wrt54gv8 used to with the wi-fi connected computer is ~30 feet away from the router and is separated by a thin wall(very thin).
me and a friend both bought the same router and even though he has two walls separating him and the router, he still gets throughput in the hundreds of megabits at 40Hz.
both of our units are refurbished so i'm inclined to think the wifi antenna on mine is somehow messed up. any thoughts?

interesting as i am using a realtek 8191SU wifi card to connect to the router. my friend uses Apple equipment which IIRC uses atheros chipsets.
as for phuzi0n's request here:
Exact router model listed on the bottom sticker: E1000v2
Exact firmware build: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/10/11) std-nokaid-small
(SVN revision 17461)
Exact client adapter model: Realtek RTL8191SU
Exact client adapter driver version: 1086.38.1125.2010
Which spectrum 2.4GHz or 5GHz: 2.4Ghz
Which channel: 8
Channel width: 40Mhz
Encryption settings: WPA2-AES
Distance between the client and AP: 30 Feet
Link rate (speed) of the client adapter listed in its connection status in your OS: Rx:150, Tx:300
Signal/Noise/SNR of the connection listed in the router's wireless status: 37
Type of materials between client and AP (wood, brick, metal, sheet-rock): thin wall
edit: i've tried svn versions 17201 and 17461 only as i'm not sure if it's safe to flash to any build older than 16785 since that's the build that the e100v2 started being supported iirc. both versions exhibit the same behavior.
w00t i got it fixed. i found out that my realtek chipset has an update dated 7/15/2011. after updating, the dd-wrt sys-info page says 300mbps exactly. hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.
