My client has a /30 IP address block from her ISP, i.e. just two usable public IPs. It's a PPPoE connection. I have successfully set up DD-WRT with one of the IP's for general use, and the other as a one-to-one NAT for a single internal device. Unfortunately this device (a VoIP card in a Toshiba PBX) requires a public IP directly on the device, or a private IP with a VPN. NAT using iptables simply will not work. All the call setup and management features work fine, but the call audio is blocked. Toshiba confirms this and has no fix.
So, how could I configure DD-WRT to allow me to assign the second IP to the VoIP card? ifconfig ppp0:1 [2nd_public_IP] netmask 255.255.255.252 broadcast [broadcast_ip] should get me started, but am I assigning one of the four LAN ports to its own VLAN and bridging it to the WAN side? I'm just lost now! any guidance appreciated...

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply, but I hoped my original post would make it clear that:
- I have already successfully set up One to One NAT (using the wiki as you suggest), but
- my device will not work with NAT, and must have a public IP address, so
- my question was how to use the second public IP address *without* NAT
The alternative to 1:1 NAT is to move a port into the same VLAN as the WAN port so that they're switched. Since you're using PPPoE though, either the PBX needs to be capable of PPPoE if your ISP allows two PPPoE tunnels, or your modem will have to do the PPPoE instead of the router. _________________ Read the forum announcements thoroughly!
