Hello!

I noticed that my router (Linksys E2000) has very bad upload performance on the LAN switch. Basically if I upload something it is very slow and keeps disconnecting. I tried other cables and all ports, none works properly. Even speedtest.net fails, or achieves 0.01 Mbit upload speed. Over Wifi it works fine (1 Mbit upload speed).

I suspect this is since I upgraded to the build 17598 using ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24-K26/svn17598/dd-wrt.v24-17598_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-nv60k.bin

Now I have another problem though, it seems I am unable to downgrade the firmware. I tried both via web interface and via tftp, both with the stock firmare, an earlier eko build, and the trailing build... but all that happens is the firmware gets downloaded to the router, but no upgrade is happening. I wait 10-15 minutes, power cycle the router and the 17598 build is still there. Tried 30-30-30 resets, all didn't help.

Is there anything else I can try besides a JTAG?

I have had this problem too, I solved it this way:

1) Downgraded my E3000 with:
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24-K26/svn14853/dd-wrt.v24-14853_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_ftp-e3000.bin

2) Upgraded my E3000 with:
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2010/08-12-10-r14929/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-e2k-e3k.bin

3) I restored my parameters with my backup and that's it.

Hope this helps Wink

DON'T use backups from other versions of dd-wrt, even on the same router. This is very dangerous.

Steps 1 and 2 are fine to do. New versions require a nv60 build as they have a failsafe in them. That is why you can't downgrade easily. You have to reflash with an earlier trailed build. There is some info in the wiki on this.

Of course I have many backups and I restored the parameters with the same version of DD-WRT as the upgraded one Wink
