Bear Extender alt firmware?

I've had it with the firmware/software on my bear extender, it is a ralink chipset with some off the shelf craptastic interface. With my Mac moving from Mac OSX Snow Leopard to Lion, the drivers had a lot of catching up to do and With my MBP suffering from no airport card, alas I had no internet. Is there any sort of software for this device that I am not seeing in my google searches, and dd-wrt searches.

Sorry but dd-wrt is router firmware, not USB wifi dongle software.

As has been pointed out, the BearExtender is a USB WiFi adapter, not a router.

However, Dorny1, have you downloaded and tried the latest drivers provided on http://bearextender.com/Lion ? Lion support from BearExtender still has beta status, so get in touch with them ASAP to report your particular difficulties as they'll need the feedback to resolve them.
