I currently use 17201 but I cannot use dyndns. I understood that it is a known issue. 17967 is not working on 1043nd at all (I think they already removed it from the ftp server). Has anybody already flashed the new version 18007 on the 1043nd ? Is it working?

Hi
I own the same device v1.8, I will be flashing now with the 06-14-11-r17201 version from the ftp server.
If I don't post within the next 24hrs please consider my router bricked !! argh.

It works with my 1043ND v1.8 well, stable (without erros) and nice performance. The 18007 is a better firmware-version as 17021 Smile

17021 -> 17990 -> 18007 no problem. But i cant say anything about dyndns..

Hi
I can confirm that dd-wrt ver 12-14-11-r18007 works on TP-Link TL WR1043ND v1.8

All I did was:
1-I made sure my firewall is off and my network card has static IP
2-using IE as a web interface
3-load the file
Code:
factory-to-ddwrt.bin
from ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2011/12-14-11-r18007/tplink_tl-wr1043nd/ using the webadmin interface of the original firmware.
4-did a 30/30/30 reset using the QSS button.
5-refreshed the page
6-up and running !

One thing I had difficulty is with setting static IPs for LAN clients, this dd-wrt wiki will help in setting this up: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Static_DHCP

I have not tested all the features as yet, but I am happy that at least my router is not bricked !

hope that helps anyone who is new to this
