Hi guys and you too sash.
So, I've read somewhere here, the proper setting when using external antenna for this device is to set secondary for tx and rx, enable diversity and hardware switch set to external. My question is, with this setting does one of the internal panel still in use or all rx/tx goes through external antenna only? The thing is i'm using an external omni in vertical polarization and would like to turn off diversity/set to vertical only and all packet should go through external antenna only. Can someone confirm this?
Hi adx. I know this post is a little dated at this point, but I was hoping you could update us on how you made out with the external antenna and the EOC2611P.
I also have the 2611P and a 24dbi gain antenna and am not really noticing any difference in signal quality over what I was seeing with the internal antenna. I currently have the physical switch set to external, diversity enabled, and both rx and tx set to secondary. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything else here. Thanks!
Same here, I have several 2610's and I'm happy with them, when switch is set to external and interface is set to tx/rx secondary (external antenna attached) range is increased; same doesn't happen on 2611P, power doesn't go to the external antenna, I can barery see the AP compared to full link in 2610, tried playing with other settings (primary, diversity, etc.) but that doesn't help.
